Here are the absolute entry-level graphics settings you need to do for Dying Light 2. Especially if you are on the following PC specs:

Textures

To do this, you will have to work directly with the settings file. It is called video.scr

  • Location – C:\Users\{username}\Documents\dying light 2\out\settings.

Make sure to take a backup of the existing files before making any changes to the files.

The settings file has a number of options that are not in the game menu. The frame rate can be increased by 20% with their help.

The TextureQuality parameter takes the values Low, Medium, and High and can be used to manually control the quality of the texture. It’s important that the Parameters are written in quotes, like this: TextureQuality(“Low”).

If you want to reduce the amount of video memory usage, you can change texture quality manually. When changing texture quality in 4K resolution, memory consumption will increase.

  • Low quality: 5800 MB VRAM.

In the game settings, anti-aliasing can only be switched to low quality.

  • AntiAliasing(0) and AntiAliasingQuality(0). (0 turns off and 1 turns on)

You can reduce the quality of the shadows:

How To Increase More FPS

I highly recommend that you DO NOT try this unless you want it to look like blocks. But if you still want to increase FPS, do the following. The frame rate can be increased even more. The Scale3D is the ratio of the actual rendering resolution and the screen resolution set by the player.

By default, Scale3D is set to 1.000000. If you set 0.75, then the game will render at 75%.
Accordingly, the frame rate will also increase. This method is faster than the built-in supersampling, but the picture looks the worst.

We strongly do not recommend setting Scale3D below 0.85.
