Motor Town: Behind The Wheel – How To Back Up Saved Files

This Motor Town: Behind The Wheel guide will show you how to back up your saves in the game. If something happens to your save game and you have to start from scratch, it can be really bad. If you want to make sure you don’t have to start over, you should back your files up.

Motor Town: Behind The Wheel – How To Back Up Saved Files

You can create a new folder on your computer called “Motor Town saves” or anything of this sort.

Next, you’ll want to open file explorer and go to C/users/YOURNAMEHERE/appdata/local/motorown/saved/savedgames

if you do not see the AppData Folder do the following:

  • Click view to view settings in the file explorer.
  • You can see an option for “hidden files and folders” when you switch to the “view” tab.
  • There are hidden files, folders and drives if you choose the option “show hidden files, folders and drives”.
  • Now the app data should show up.

“characters” and “worlds” are the two folders that you should see now. Click “copy” if you want to select both of them.

Click inside the folder–>paste if you want to bring up your “Motor Town Saves” folder again.

Your saves will be backed up now! When you stop playing, these backups do not automatically update. It’s best to back up your save files every couple of days, maybe a week at the most. A couple of days seems excessive, but you will thank me if something goes wrong.

If you ever need to use your backups, go to the same location and copy and paste the files back into saved games.
