The General concept of survival
The player has to survive a fixed time until he wins the survival mode. The game counts as lost if the headquarter is destroyed and the player dies. After that, there is no way to respawn so you need to be careful in this part. Every couple of minutes, the wave becomes stronger. This means that the amount of stronger enemy species (Ultra / Alpha) increases as time passes by. The classic example of the survival concept across multiple games is also implemented here.
If the player upgrades his headquarter a special attack wave gets triggered. Units are placed on the map scale with difficulty and the monster strength increases the closer you are to the map edge. The command line for Difficulty is =creatures_base_difficulty + creatures_distance_per_difficulty / distance_from_player_initial_spawn, With difficulty limit being creatures_max_difficulty

Survival Mode Difficulties in The Riftbreaker
There are a total of 8 difficulties with one of them being a toggle option. The option is called Hardcode Mode. This is a very tough level of survival difficulty to overcome and clear. What is Sandbox Difficulty in Riftbreakers’ Survival Mode?
In this mode, none of the waves will spawn automatically. The players have to send those themselves if they want to. Basically this mode follows the concept of sandboxing in general where you are controlling a virtual, simulated environment for yourself. To enable the features of a sandbox control menu – press F11 to open.
By using the sandbox control menu, all kinds of enemies can be spawned, events are created, and player settings can be manipulated. this mode gives you a lot of flexibility to use in the survival mode for the Riftbreaker.
Custom difficulty in Survival Mode
This difficulty opens up another GUI page where the player can choose from lots of different options. You can create the difficulty you want. This is another option for those who prefer to build custom games and modes for them to try out. The options in this mode include; Enemy damage factor, building cost, game duration, map size, enemy wave strength, etc.
Random difficulty in Survival Mode
In this mode, most of the difficulty settings are random. The player can only configure 5 parameters or fields. They are; Wave interval duration, game duration, warm-up duration, map size, and sandbox control panel. Everything else is always randomized and you will have no control whatsoever over other aspects of the survival mode.
What are Survival Events in The Riftbreaker?
These are what you may call modifiers that affect the conditions or the environment for the game. These can be either positive or negative. Some positive event occurrences are Strong Winds, Resource comet, Blue Moon, etc.
Some negative events in the survival mode are Acid Rain, Acid Fissure, Blue Hail, Dust Storm, etc. These basically are designed to disturb you and hinder progress and are part of the challenge of playing the survival mode in The Riftbreaker.
